Trials of Mana was good (not great, but still good), DooM 2016 was fantastic (though technically not a remake, but we didn't know that until DooM Eternal came out), so good remakes are. While this is just as legally suspect as charging for the product, many developers choose to let these projects slip under the radar, as long as they don’t damage the franchise by misusing the characters, or impede on a project that they are currently working on themselves. However, I saw the screenshots of Chrono Resurrection and thought it was doing a good job, and I have put a lot of thought into how this remake should be made.
